Hello venturer,
African animation is taking the world by storm! Gone are the days of limited cartoon choices for African audiences, especially children. Today, an exciting mix of traditional stories and modern narratives is capturing the attention of audiences worldwide. 2023 marked a pivotal year for African animation, paving the way for an even brighter future.
Experts predict the industry, aptly named "Afrimation," could reach a value of $18 billion by 2032. Top African talents are gaining well-deserved recognition on leading platforms like Disney and ShowMax. This, coupled with Netflix's launch of its first African-animated series in July 2023, further cements the industry's ascent.
