I have mixed feelings about it. I think Africa has the opportunity to leverage AI as a transformative tool for addressing its unique challenges and unlocking new opportunities for growth and development. But I also see its dangers like job displacement and ethical concerns. AI could disrupt traditional industries and job markets in Africa.
However, realizing the potential and addressing the dangers of artificial intelligence requires concerted efforts from governments, businesses, civil society, and the international community to overcome barriers and ensure that AI benefits are accessible to all Africans.
