ABH is empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs as it offers a share of $1.5 million.
Are you ready to join a community of like-minded entrepreneurs to create positive change and drive economic growth across the continent?
Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH), the flagship philanthropic program of the Jack Ma Foundation in Africa, is on a mission to showcase and grow local talent. The program is truly pan-African and open to candidates from all 54 African countries. It is sector-agnostic, thus, entrepreneurs from all industries are eligible to apply.
Inclusivity is a core value of ABH and entrepreneurs of all ages and genders are encouraged to apply. The program is grassroots-oriented and seeks to identify entrepreneurs from all levels of society who are making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
The ABH Prize competition is one of the ways in which the program supports talented and promising African entrepreneurs. Each year, ten "business heroes" from across Africa are selected to compete for their share of $1.5 million in grant funding. Participants have exclusive access to training, mentoring, and learning programs, as well as a community of like-minded African business leaders.
Applying to the competition offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn more about themselves and their businesses, receive invaluable feedback, develop brilliant storytelling skills, join an entrepreneurship ecosystem, gain global recognition and exposure, and pitch to business legends.
The ABH program also believes in the importance of documenting the journeys of African entrepreneurs. Through the ABH TV Show, documentary, and media features, the program showcases the passion, resilience, and innovation of Africa's entrepreneurs.
