#157: Travel has long been recognized as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Hello Venturer,
My first trip outside Nigeria was to the Republic of Benin. I remember it being a breath of fresh air both literary and figuratively. It was refreshing to leave the bustle and congestion of Lagos for a more relaxing environment. I enjoyed the mesmerizing architecture, the pristine beaches, and the beautiful dance between our cultures.
After reluctantly returning to Nigeria, my travel gave me a new appreciation for my country. Yes, Lagos is not as calm and relaxing as I would like it to be, amidst the energetic chaos of Lagos, I discovered hidden treasures I had never noticed before, like the striking contrast between colonial and modern buildings.
Travel has a profound impact on innovation and entrepreneurship. It exposes individuals to new cultures, perspectives, and ideas, fostering creativity and providing valuable insights for various business endeavours. While my travels may not have directly ignited innovation or entrepreneurship, let me introduce you to Alma Asinobi, whose story will leave you inspired.
This week Alma Asinobi takes us on how travel shaped her dreams and empowered her entrepreneurial spirit.
